Efficient processes and dynamic storage systems
Innovative solutions require intelligent processes. To this end, LMS relies on automation: At our loading bays, a time window control system guarantees the smooth unloading of incoming trucks. A tugger train and integrated, order-controlled forklifts continuously supply the production lines with material.
To move components between the assembly lines for the various production steps, more than 55 driverless transport systems are used for maximum efficiency and speed. The finished components are finally stored in one of our 5,000 high-bay storage locations. From there, we deliver them “Just-In-Time” or “Just-In-Sequence”.
To link all the processes together, there is an overarching ERP system and an automated conveyor system. This makes the processes efficient and dynamic – always to achieve the greatest benefits for our customers.

Perfect coordination – with state-of-the-art technology
Simplify the work steps and make them more efficient: That is the motto of all our logistics processes. To move finished products through our plants, we use driverless transport systems at LMS. With the help of RFID tags, we can also efficiently assign and track all parts. In this way, we guarantee that every component is perfectly equipped and subsequently arrives at the right place at the right time.
To move goods around the plant in a traceable way, we use an SAP Mobisys system. Our specialist departments are permanently involved in distributing materials efficiently. Once these have become finished products, the SAP system comes into play – to move goods to the shipping area.
In this way, every movement can be precisely tracked. We also receive detailed key figures, which we use as a basis for comprehensive process analyses. By using all our systems in a targeted manner, we can flexibly adapt and perfectly coordinate our logistics processes.
Ordered components: To the right place at the right time!
Whether front, rear, side or roof system: Our customers receive all ordered components as requested “Just-In-Time” or “Just-In-Sequence” within the whole of Europe – and exactly in the right design, with the right equipment and in the right color at the right time. This perfect logistical process is the strength of LMS.
Of course, we also support our customers internationally and can also supply them with components after “end-of-production” of a model series.
